The "One-Euro-Ukraine-Aid" of Mustafa Celik

Humanitarian aid - already with 1 € much can be moved!

In Ukraine there is war and emergency. A world that is unimaginable for many people in our society. There is hardly anything to eat, sirens are constantly wailing, those who are sick or injured will not be able to go to the doctor easily, many will have no protective roof at all, electricity and water are no longer available around the clock. And this is happening right on our doorstep. TV and Internet do the rest and show us the misery in detail.

It also hits us

Of course, the Ukraine war affects us all. It puts democracy and human freedom in danger. And it is costing us much of what we call growth and prosperity. Horrendous energy prices are bringing consumers and businesses to their knees. For many a company and many private consumers, gas, oil or electricity are in some cases unaffordable. At the same time, the energy crisis is causing prices to rise at all levels. Supply chains are being disrupted and shortages of food or other goods, for example, are further exacerbating the situation.

The weak deserve a lot of attention

As always with warlike conflicts in our world, it is the weak and defenseless, children, the sick, the elderly, who are hit hardest. The humanitarian needs in Ukraine can hardly be met. There is a lack of practically everything that the people there need as a minimum to live. The destruction of entire residential areas, hospitals or other humanitarian facilities, as well as the recent attacks on the power supply, add to the suffering.

Rapid aid is needed

Most German logistics companies have a special relationship with the people from Ukraine. This is because many of the drivers who are now driving very different vehicles on the front lines worked for these companies before the war. This close link has led to some very successful private aid initiatives in the past. One of these is the "One-Euro Ukraine Aid" of the Iserlohn-based logistics company Celik. Mustafa Celik, who took over the business from his father in 1999, expanded the company through acquisitions and takeovers. The warehouse business was opened as a second mainstay. Through acquisitions and takeovers of forwarding companies, the Celik Group has grown into a medium-sized logistics company. Currently, the fleet consists of 60 towing units and 80 employees.

Direct and immediate

Mustafa Celik's "One-Euro-Ukraine-Aid" aims to bring relief supplies directly to Ukraine. So far, it has been possible to realize three relief goods journeys. That is a total of seven trucks with 165 tons of relief goods. The destinations Odessa, Mykolaev, Lviv, Kiev, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhya. The relief goods were financed by appeals for donations, friends, suppliers and customers of Celik Logistics. All donated funds were used 100% for the purchase of the relief goods. All other costs such as logistics and transport were borne by the logistics company.

Emotions are always involved

When Mustafa Celik reports on the great suffering of the people in Ukraine, tears come to his eyes himself. "I didn't know until then how emotional help can be for both sides. The suffering is really very great and we ask everyone to join us and donate. It's not called "One-Euro Ukraine Aid" for nothing. Because together you can move a lot with little.

Of course, Edscha TS supports this unprecedented relief action of Mustafa Celik's "One-Euro-Ukraine-Help" with a monetary donation and calls on everyone to share the appeal and support this action with a monetary donation.
