At Edscha TS, we have been dealing with topics such as climate, environment and sustainability for several years now. The topic has become increasingly explosive in recent years. We asked ourselves whether a manufacturer and developer of tarpaulin systems can contribute with its products to improving the climate and protecting the environment? At the time, we found it difficult to answer this question. Today, there is an unequivocal "YES"! Sustainability is like an adventure trip with a lot to discover. It's great that the knowledge we've gained along the way has made many logistk products in our field faster, better and even safer. The great interest in our ideas for more sustainability at the "IAA Transportation 2022" shows us that we are on the right track. We are continuing to work on this, because we want to play an active role in improving the climate!
New challenges
The "IAA Transportation 2022" highlighted two important trends at once: The logistics world of tomorrow will be predominantly electric. And it will be more sustainable than ever before. The development of electric trucks, for example, is already well advanced. And other drives, with hydrogen for example, are also getting into the mix. And by the way: Whatever trailer variant you drive tomorrow, there will often be an Edscha TS tarpaulin roof system on top, regardless of whether it is a sliding roof or a side curtain. Our tarpaulin systems are already developed today for the logistics world of tomorrow. The latest examples of this are the further developed SB-Profi system, a sliding roof for vehicles without a body but with a tarpaulin cover. Drivers wanted
Of course, many logistics companies continue to face a general problem: they simply lack drivers for their trucks, many drivers have returned home. But it's also a matter of recruiting more young talent and making the logistics industry more attractive overall. Nevertheless: moving through traffic with a large vehicle, bringing large and small goods to the customer despite many challenges, that was once again a difficult task this year, which our truck drivers handled masterfully with a great deal of dedication. Thank you for that!
Thinking more positively
What is encouraging in these times is the positive thinking of many people. Looking ahead, showing commitment, tackling and grabbing on: many hands can make a lot of things happen. It is precisely this kind of teamwork that we value in our Edscha TS family. And, last but not least, it is what makes us successful. That is why we at Edscha TS are proud of our employees. Without the commitment of our employees, it would be difficult for our company to develop successfully. A special thank you therefore goes out to all the people at Edscha TS. Quite simply also because together we can look better into the future.
A look into the glass sphere
We can only guess what 2023 will bring. No amount of all-knowing gazing into the glass sphere will help. What counts is looking ahead. This applies to everyone: from the people who develop innovative soft top systems as engineers and technicians to our customers who successfully use Edscha TS systems. Edscha TS remains innovative and motivated. But also a company that is very close to its customers. This will of course also be true for 2023.
And what else?
First and foremost, of course, we wish that we all get through this time in good health. The "Omikron" virus variant and its relatives love winter and the cold season. We also wish that things will soon be more peaceful again in this world. Last but not least, customers who are satisfied with our tarpaulin systems and who profit from them. Customers who motivate us to develop new technologies that take us further forward.
