Pure relief: The new E-drive from the Edscha TS range.

Just press a button and the electric drive starts buzzing. The tarpaulin sliding roof can be opened or closed without any problems. The load is quickly loaded off the truck. The driver needs only a few hand movements. The truck is quickly ready to drive again. This is just a small example of how quickly and comfortably the new generation of electric drives from the canopy manufacturer Edscha TS works. The new drives can be used for the CurtainSider and OpenBox soft top systems. The main advantages of the new Edscha TS drives are more power, safety and time savings, functional diversity, and convenient operation.

A pioneer in logistics

Edscha TS can certainly be called a pioneer in the development of motor-controlled E-drives for sliding roof systems. As early as the 1980s, Edscha TS presented a drive control for full tarpaulin roofs. This was followed in the 90s by a drive concept for the CurtainSider roof system. Then came the E-drive for TipperRoof. The TipperRoof E-drive showed what such a solution can do. After all, the dump trucks equipped with TipperRoof are under extreme conditions day in, day out. Nevertheless, the canopy system and E-drive harmonise safely and perfectly.

A question of speed

Edscha TS systems are designed to save time and money. The success of Edscha TS E-drives shows that there is a great demand for appropriately designed systems. This is because the new drive also shows its special advantages from a cost-benefit point of view. The investment takes away the resulting cost pressure and minimises it within a very short time by means of a fast, safe and, above all, very convenient handling of all work.

Versatile operating options

The drive control can also be controlled via a box on the vehicle, a switch in the driver's cab, via an external radio switch as well as via a dedicated app via Bluetooth. In addition, there is a connection for external operation. Another plus point is the very low power consumption. This means the E-drive can be operated via the normal on-board power supply without additional fuse protection. Further additional functions can be integrated.

For special cases

The drives show their special capabilities in very special cases. For example, there are situations in which the driver can drive to the unloading point but is not allowed to leave the driver's cab for safety reasons. The drive then enables the safe opening and closing of the canopy.
