Simply save money while tipping and driving
The newcomer is a silver dump truck with a closed top. "It may not look spectacular at first glance," says Genzke, "but it works spectacularly and very reliably. This is our fifth tipper roof system from Edscha TS that we can operate electrically. It's called TipperRoof with E-Drive, that is, with an electric control system. We operate our other TipperRoof systems by hand, but even that is very easy and unproblematic". Driver Daniel turns on the E-Drive. "Can be operated from the ground or from the cab here." It whirrs and the roof at the back of the tipper opens. "This way I can tip quickly and accurately in any weather and whatever the load, and drive on immediately. It saves time and makes my job easier." His boss is clearing his throat. "Saves money, of course, and is already changing our roster. If we can empty our dump trucks faster, we can fill them faster. One effect will certainly be additional tours. TipperRoof also saves diesel, by the way. I don't know how much yet, but it'll probably be a couple of litres."
Edscha TS - another term for quality
"How much does a TipperRoof like this cost?" Genzke smiles. "Let's just say that when I look at the roof systems of other colleagues, what they achieve, what difficulties the drivers have with them and how long the roofs last, then our TipperRoof - even if I count the E-drive on it - is a bargain in the long term. On the one hand, the material quality and reliability of the roof system is very high and the construction on rollers makes our drivers' work easier - which, by the way, creates a good driving mood. In addition, the drivers always tilt safely with the roof closed and then continue driving safely straight away. My insurance company even offers reduced premiums for this. And the TipperRoof is also eligible for subsidies under the De-Minimis guidelines. At the end of the day these are all cost savings that pay off and make the investment in such an Edscha TS system worthwhile".
Genzke turns to his driver Daniel, "Where do you have to go today?" - "I'm off, boss! But tomorrow morning I'll be back on the road, of course!" - "You see," says Genzke, "precisely because our employees are our best asset, we should also give them the best working tools."
